Day 1 – Arrive Bogota
Arrival to Bogota airport and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 – Exploring Bogota
Relax in the morning before joining us for a city tour of Bogota. We will visit Bolivar’s Square where the city’s most impressive buildings stand; the Cathedral, the Palace of Justice, the Presidential Palace, the National Capitol Building. Then we will continue our journey through the Colonial District of La Candelaria and visit to the Gold Museum with it’s collection of 34.000 gold ornaments, after this visit we will continue to Bolivar’s Country House where the Liberator Simón Bolivar lived. Finally we will take a cable-car to the top of Monserrate that lords over Bogota where we will admire a wonderful view of the city. In the late afternoon we transfer by air to historic Cartagena.
Day 3 - Cartagena
Today we take a walking tour along the walled old town, learning about its principal streets, churches and colonial homes with balconies full of flowers and colors. Also learn about the different Squares: Santa Teresa, Bolivar, San Pedro’s Convent and church.
Day 4 - Cartagena
Time to take to the water. This morning we explore the mangroves by canoe traversing through “la cienaga de la Virgen”. This trip provides a different view of Cartagena; off the beaten track, surrounded by a host of different flora & fauna, an entirely different experience.
Day 5 - Punta Faro
Today we will visit the idyllic island of Punta Faro and relax in San Bernardo del Viento. Once there we will have the opportunity to enjoy some snorkeling and other water sports.
Day 6 - Punta Faro
Relax today. Kick back, find a shady spot on the beach and chill out! A cold drink and some sunscreen are the only accessories you will need!
Day 7 - Punta Faro
After tearing yourself away from the beautiful beach we will return to Cartagena in the evening.
Day 8 - Tagana
Today we spend the day with some local fisherman in the typical seaside fishing village of Tagana.
Day 9 - Bogota
Return to Bogota for your onward departure.
