Day 1 – Arrival Antigua

Upon arrival to the airport you will be met & transferred to your beautiful Antigua hotel.

Day 2 – Antigua Architecture & History Tour

Today you will embark on a half-day walking tour of Antigua. Once the third most important Spanish colony in the Americas the city now boasts over 30 monastic orders complete with stunning monasteries, convents and cathedrals throughout the town. Antigua’s setting is majestic, nestled between three dramatic volcanoes: Agua, Fuego and Acatenango and the colonial history of Antigua provides a suitable backdrop for the array of cultural activities on offer. Our tour pays homage to Antigua’s colorful history and takes in the main square, Palace, Cathedral, La Merced Church & San Francisco Church. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the incredible Lake Atitlan.

Day 3 - Chichi Market

This morning we visit the famous market at Chichi. There will be time for shopping in this fabulous craft market and an opportunity to see Maya rituals being performed in the Catholic Church before transferring on to on to Guatemala City Airport in time to catch the early evening flight to Flores. Once in Flores you will be greeted & transferred to your hotel in the rainforest.

Day 4 - Tikal

Today you head for Tikal National park to explore the amazing UNESCO protected Mayan Temple site of Tikal where huge Mayan temples rise above the jungle canopy and monkeys and tropical birds are abundant in the surrounding rainforest. After lunch take time to relax and refresh before flying back to Guatemala City.

Day 5 – Depart Guatemala City

Today we bid you farewell as we transfer you to the airport for your flight out.
