Day 1 – Arrive in Panama
A representative of Sublime Journeys will meet you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel in Panama City.
Day 2 – Chagres National Park/Indian Village
After breakfast, visit a paradise in its purest form. This tour leaves Panama City in the morning to Corotu Pier for a ride in a "piragua" (a native boat) following the route commonly used by the Indians for their daily transport along the Chagres River. Then hike through the forest with a local indigenous guide, an expert who will explain the botanical aspects of the trail and the culture of this authentic Embera village. In the village members of the tribe will share their culture through dances, rituals, food, etc. You will have the opportunity to have your very own tribal body-art rendered in traditional jagua (vegetable ink) – don’t worry though, it’s not permanent.
Day 3 - San Blas Islands
Depart from your hotel early in the morning for a 30-minute flight to San Blas Archipelago airstrip on Panama’s Atlantic Coast. From here a motorized dugout canoe will transfer you to the very rustic, but charming San Blas lodge of your choice. Here you will have the opportunity to visit the Kuna Indian’s principal community and enjoy beautiful beaches on the nearby islands. Lunch and dinner feature fresh San Blas seafood.
Day 4 - San Blas Islands
Rent (or bring your own) snorkeling gear to explore the beautiful reefs in San Blas, relax on white sand beaches or in a hammock under the palms. Today is definitely for chilling out and leaving the woes of the world far away.
Day 5 - Panama City
Early in the morning return from San Blas to Panama City and transfer to the hotel. Today you may enjoy the city at your leisure or embark on one of our excellent escorted guided tours.
Day 6 - Chiriqui Cloud Forest
Early morning transfer by airplane to David in the western province of Chiriqui, bordering Costa Rica. From here you will be travel by car to the quaint mountain town of Boquete. Enjoy the afternoon in the beautiful highlands hiking, riding horses or taking other optional tours such as visiting a private flower garden or coffee plantation.
Day 7 – Boquete/Baru Volcano
After breakfast explore the trails around the Baru Volcano National Park with a naturalist guide. You will have the opportunity to see the elusive and resplendent Quetzal in its natural mountain habitat of wild orchids and bromeliads. In Chiriqui optional tours available include: White water river rafting, zipline adventure in the cloud forest, horse back riding and coffee tours.
Day 8 – Bocas del Toro
This morning you will have an early transfer to David Airport for your flight to Bocas del Toro in the Caribbean. In beautiful Bocas you will experience the mingling of two cultures; the Afro-Caribbean and the Panamanian. While many feel that the crystalline waters and sun-drenched islands are the highlights of Bocas, we have no doubt that what will charm you the most are the warm and friendly locals. Take the day to explore the town and some of the surrounding islands.
Day 9 – Bocas del Toro
After breakfast we embark on a tour of Bastimentos Marine National Park. This stunning marine reserve is the ideal location for a spot of snorkeling; expect to by dazzled by the underwater bounty of colorful fish. Optional activities include scuba diving or exploring some of the island waterways by kayak.
Day 10 – Panama City
Today we head back to Panama City. After a day of rest and relaxation we will be happy to arrange VIP access for you to one of Panama’s top nightspots.
Day 11 – Depart
Private transfer to the airport for your international flight.
