Day 1 – Arrive to Bariloche & Huapi Lake

Upon arrival at Bariloche Airport we will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel on the beautiful shores of the Nahuel Huapi Lake. This relaxing and cozy inn is surrounded by nature and lies a few miles away from the center of Bariloche. We suggest you take the afternoon to relax and enjoy a late afternoon stroll through the magnificent surroundings.

Day 2 – Bariloche - Mt. Tronador

After breakfast you will take a chairlift ride atop Mt. Campanario for an outstanding view of northern Patagonia. From there, transfer along the shore of Gutierrez and Mascardi Lakes to the Pampa Linda Valley & Lodge, at the foot of Mt. Tronador. Our lodge is in a lovely setting and a perfect location for today’s and tomorrow’s adventures. After lunch, we horseback ride to the moraine of the Ventisquero Negro, the black glacier, to enjoy the awe-inspiring vista of Tronador’s upper and lower glaciers.

Day 3 - Tronador/ Hike to the Morenkoff Ridge

After breakfast we will depart from Pampa Linda and cross over the Castaño Overa river. Our hiking trail today ascends through forests of Cohihue trees. Once on the ridge, we walk towards Tronador´s ice fields. The view of the Castaño Overa and Alerces glaciers together with the 400 mts cascades tumbling from the heavens is truly breathtaking. The perfect spot for our picnic lunch.

Day 4 - Villa la Angostura

After an early breakfast, we take a shuttle to Villa La Angostura, a small village with superb scenery on the shore of the largest lake of the region, the Nahuel Huapi. After some time for lunch at the village, we will take our bikes on a boat and sail the Nahuel Huapi to the Quetrihue Península, from where we will be cycling back through the cinnamon-colored landscapes of the Arrayanes National Forest.

Day 5 - Biking across the Cordoba Pass

This morning our shuttle takes us to the top of the Córdoba Pass, from where we take to the saddle again and enjoy the pure pleasure of the smooth descent toward the Caleufú River valley. This beautifully remote and serene location is the ideal spot for our Gourmet Picnic lunch by the Caleufú river. After lunch we continue on our cycle to the charmingly quaint town of San Martín de los Andes where we will spend the night.

Day 6 - San Martín de los Andes- Hike

This morning take your time to explore this beautiful little town. Then in the early afternoon we board our catamarán and navigate to Quila Quina, a small settlement by the Lacar lake and land of the Mapuches; the native tribe of the area. From here we spend a glorious few hours hiking, and enjoying the quiet and untamed beauty of this land before unwinding with a pre-dinner wine tasting at a cozy local restaurant – a true hidden gem.

Day 7 – Across the Andes towards Chile

This morning we will traverse the Andes by shuttle and enjoy a picnic lunch in the midst of a forest of araucarias (giant monkey puzzle trees). Once satiated we cross to Chile, where we will once again take to our bikes, though this time in the shadow of the still active Villarrica volcano. This ride takes us on a 24 mile journey through the superb countryside and rolling hills to the village of Pucón.

Day 8 – Pucón - Rafting in the Trancura River

This morning we take to the water! Our rafting experience will be on the Bajo Trancura river (no previous experience needed). This evening we will bid you a fond farewell with dinner at La Maga, one of the finest steak houses in the country.
